Offsetter Gigs

Post by jetset » Mon Feb 05, 2007 11:10 am

I assume a lot of us are in active bands.  How about we start a thread of any upcoming gigs by forum members.  Post the Band, date, venue, city, and a link, maybe we can actually meet and greet in the real world.  Delete 'em when they're done.  I'll start:

The Jennifers
2/23/07 Roots Cafe - CD Release Party
Baltimore Maryland, USA

Forever Strange this friday night (2/9) at Westgate in York, PA kicking off around 9 or so.

We'll be at Chicks in Hummelstown, PA the following friday (2/16) night.

-Jetset, You're practically local-I'll have to try to road trip down there sometime.  My bro Cmatthes is in a band or two in the DC area...

Swedish Polarbears ROCK!

I love that band.  But then again, being a huge TFC fan, that's not so much of a stretch.  You mean the band is wandering through the streets?  ;)

oops did i say polar bears, i meant polar beers, nobody in this country seem to be able to pronounce the word "bear". and for some reason "viking" is a bit tricky too. it often comes out as "wiking"  ::)

was it you who posted the thread about Swedish Polarbears a while ago? i hadn´t heard of them before that. they´re pretty good :)

Polar beers.  Ha! That reminds me of when I was bumming around Europe years ago and sat in with a Hungarian guitar player.  He asked "do you know 'Long Black Whale?'" I said I didn't, and he started singing - "She wore a long, black whale..."

Keep the gigs coming.

Heh! Reminds me of this joke:

Two athletes meet in the olympic village.

One says to the other, "Are you a pole-vaulter?"

The other replies,  "No, I am a German. How did you know my name was Walter?"

nope, sorry - but I got to see them on Tuesday in Dublin, and got to help interview Conrad for a while - he was a really nice guy, and they were amazing live too.
