Would love to one day hear the same question asked about Faecebook.
Remember when MySpace destabilized the world order when it became a vector for Russian propaganda, eventually turning into a global network of disinformation for white supremacists and nazis?

Oh wait.

God. It was a simpler time surfing those shitty, shitty MySpace pages.
+ 1000.

:(

You forgot conspiracy theorists and anti-vaxxers (lump any/all other pseudo-science here) BTW.

:(

I legitimately miss it very much as an artist. It was a much more active musical networking tool and the shows/other bands I met through doing it were better dialed in than stuff I've honestly found on FB or IG because of the Top 8. Granted, the enthusiasm of everyone at that time was also probably due to the novelty of finding bands and getting shows over the internet being a new thing, but due to the lack of a central feed I feel like people were more active in seeking out what they wanted to hear. Lotta good times back then.

It does, and same! Has always worked great and no reason to change. Recently stumbled on this, if you're looking for a refresh :D

Yep defo! The lack of a brain numbing newsfeed was a massive plus compared to social media today. You searched for music and people instead of having it all fed to you. And people didn't post news articles or anything else for that matter.

Felled Trees. The band is comprised of members of ’90s emo bands Texas is the Reason, Samiam, Knapsack (plus newer bands like Thrice and RX Bandits) and more, and they’ve come together to record a tribute album to Dinosaur Jr.‘s Where You Been for its 20th anniversary.
