cool idea...mind you, I usualy figure out things by ear....I find the scale and then most of the time the songs unlock themselves

me too, and sometimes I write it down.

I made a tab for Sonic Youth's Incinerate a few months back:

instructions:

It can't be played with a standard set of strings as they'd break, I used 0.46 0.46 0.36 0.26 0.26 0.18 because that was what I had lying around, I think a better set would be: 0.48 0.48 0.36 0.26 0.18 0.18.

Unfortunately I put a standard set of strings on the guitar again so I can't see how accurate the tab is.

These notes might sometimes seem vague but they were written by me for me and I can use them perfectly, sometimes I leave some room for improvisation when I'm playing, which is why not everything is written down. This was never meant to be an accurate tab. Things I put between brackets are not always played or I don't always want to play them. There are 2 guitars used in the song and I'm not always following one, this is more of a selection of parts I want to play when I hear the song and they could be by either guitarist, in this case Lee or Thurston.
I sliced it all up into little parts hoping that'll make it easier to read, so anyway:

well **** me, I'm quite familiar with those pages but I just never clicked 'guitar' or 'bass'. I didn't even have to make that tab.
