Robert Quine - final recordings

Post by del » Sun Jan 10, 2010 9:14 am

I know at least a few of us are Quine aficionados.
For those who need a quick refresher - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Quine" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Here is a link to a story about his final recordings - with links to mp3s. It is soundtrack work and quite cool.

i JUST missed out on a telecaster that was owned by him. the ad went up two days ago, i sent the guy a message and he said he just sold it. it was a bound sunburst tele with 3 noiseless pickups. that will make the third quine guitar i have missed out on now, the other were as seen below...

the casino is still for sale, but $1600 for a korean casino is a bit much considering it sold for under a grand on ebay both times it was put up.

the tele in question...

That'd be me! I'll have to give Alice the Glamor Shots treatment and then post the pix.

I love Robert's work.

OK, as promised, some photos of my Quine Telecaster, which I bought from Rick Kelly at Carmine Street Guitars:

The tortoise on the pickups is a beautiful touch. Great guitar player.

Hi! Does anyone still have a copy of these final soundtrack recordings downloaded? Or possibly know of anywhere it's possible to hear them? Would really like to hear what they sound like. Thanks!

He got a law degree from the university I work at, and while he was there, he made a bootleg recording of the Velvet Underground when they played there.
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.
