I really like it, especially "Unknown Anonymous", kinda reminds me of The Weakerthans.fenderjeff wrote: I'm guitarist and singer in E-Doll, a little rock band (but not a Little Rock band anyway) from the north of France.
some say we're one of the last grunge bands in the corner (pretty easy with all those heavy-emo-classichardrock groups... ) but we don't care!
all I can say about us is that we love to make noise with our offsetguitars...

Let's see...
First off, I make music in my own name: http://www.myspace.com/petste
then, I'm a part of the transatlantic trio Triple Shadow and Compass: http://www.myspace.com/serpenskaput
and lastly, I'm playing the bass guitar, and provide backing vocals here and there, with a singer/songwriter called Klas Eriksson (though I haven't recorded with him yet): http://www.myspace.com/klaseriksson
The first two projects are the only ones that I'm yet to use my offset (a Jaguar Bass VI) in, but this may change soon enough.

Hmm... I can't seem to find all of my previous band on the net (getting old... )
These are the bands up on myspace:
Duel 1995-2001
http://www.myspace.com/duelswe
Eliminator jr. 2003-2006
http://www.myspace.com/eliminatorjr
Or
http://music.mp3lizard.com/eliminator_jr/
I played with my little brother on drums in both these bands but inbetween I was in a band called Distortion + as a guitarist and we had a Californian guy on vocals doing some kind of Weezer/Stooges typ of things..
The other inbetween-band was a dreampop collective called Nowhere Fast. We where like 6 or 7 people in the band and when we broke up, we formed Eliminator jr. and the other guys formed The Idle Hands.

I guess we wanted two different things....

Oh yes,
I also play bass in "Iconoclastic", with Paul of Cutaways, and Angie's boyfriend on drums. We just did it for a bit of fun, and recorded a demo really quickly last year. It's our last show tomorrow night

I really Like "then she fell..."! Reminds me of what the Swedish labels "North of No South" and "A Westside Fabrication" released during mid 90's (especially Blithe, Carpet People, late Carpe Wade etc) - and that is a GOOD thingchrisjedijane wrote: Oh yes,

I confirm what I said in the other thread: Our covers of this same song have nothing in common (except the original song).mynameisjonas wrote: i just added a song to my myspace profile. it's a cover of venus in furs (previously mentioned in the effects section). check it out: http://myspace.com/paperfist

You speeded it up, I slowed it down a bit, your drums are like in constant solo mode, mine are very minimalistic and I could go on and on...
That said: I love your version !

So I just got a band together with a couple friends. I play my jazzmaster and my friend plays a strat (but he uses 13s, so he's okay in my book) and out friend joe on drums.
me and our other guitar player are both audio majors, so we recorded out first practice (kind of a slapdash mic setup). I threw a snippet of it on a music myspace I had lying around. let me know what you think. keep in mind this is our FIRST PRACTICE EVER.
it's the one labeled first band practice.

I'm listening to this now, it's really great. I was doing sound at a gig last night and one of the guys played a really great acoustic cover of "dancing in the dark", and I said he should check your cover out toomynameisjonas wrote: i just added a song to my myspace profile. it's a cover of venus in furs (previously mentioned in the effects section). check it out: http://myspace.com/paperfist

Thanks, I really must check them out. The last gig was great - we were all a little drunk but we played really wellthe older brother wrote: I really Like "then she fell..."! my ex-band (i still play as a "special guest" with them every now and then) The Tacits: www.myspace.com/thetacits
i play the dirty guitar in the left speaker in "sleeping faces", the dreamy delayed guitar in "blameless" and all the guitars in "stop it!" --- hope you like it.
for you guys in europe; they (we?) will be back in europe next summer. if you wanna see if something together can be worked out, please contact me to direct you to our manager. sure would be fun! i'll see if i can make it this time!
local rock magazines (incl. the latin american editon of Rolling Stone) really liked the CD.
listen, and let me know what you think!

none of these have anything to do with my guitar playing...
i did computer processing on this album http://www.pogus.com/21031.html
i did the synthesizers on this one http://www.lovely.com/titles/cdnonesuch.html
and i've recorded, mixed, mastered somewhere under 100 cds.....
