Nice. I like the layered vocals on this.

I’m going to steal your idea of matching the banner to the background color on Bandcamp. Ours looks like shit because of the limited image size for the banner and the dumb skinny font I insisted on using.

Thanks! It was a fun one (Kim did it all at home, and I just showed up for some guitar at the end). We were aiming for "holiday adjacent and bittersweet".

Customizing the bandcamp page gives me myspace flashbacks.

This vocal delivery reminds me a lot of Janet Weiss in Quasi. Very cool.

Our latest album "Touch my alien" here at bandcamp.

Main guitar, I used on lead guitar my 1963 Jaguar. Played through a 1961 Fender Showman Amp with original 1x15 cab.

Other guitar a 1965 Jaguar. Played through a Dual Showman Amp (1964-65), also with 1x15 cab.

Pure surf. :)

What do you think about?

For those who got excited by the synths I listed in the aptly named “list your synths” thread, here they all are in our last single. There’s even a tiny bit of guitar if you listen very carefully.

And we made a video!

We’re excited and honored that the Big Takeover is premiering the video for our holiday song, “They say it’s always lonely.” We made this song as a tribute to everyone who is missing loved ones this holiday season and to the comfort of memory and community, despite the distances between us.
All proceeds this December will go to the West Seattle and University District food banks.

Its been a busy month for me, more time now that i'm off school.
Early this month i put out a short album of experimental lo fi electronic stuff and i've just put out a christmas single for pay what you want sort of in the style of Aerial M.
Also a compilation of older stuff i had up under a different name with some demos.

Thanks

new band

First song's an original, the improv psych cumbia was just for the occasion. Most of our songs are between 1 and 2 minutes long and pretty fast. This was recorded at the practice space for a Hanukkah/winter holiday live stream thing (based on Yo La Tengo's Hanukkah thing).

Man this is cool. Not that it sounds like a rip-off AT ALL - I can see any fan of the melodic Sonic Youth stuff digging this.
