Mortiferum - Disgorged From Psychotic Depths

and also
No Joy - Motherhood which is being touted as this genre bending shoegaze album yet it pretty much tracks with what A Sunny Day in Glasgow did on Sea When Absent like five years ago just with slightly different signifiers. Still a great record and fascinating rumination on motherhood and aging in song form.

My girlfriend listens to the Spotify indie folk/modern folk revival channel where I'm always finding good bands. She got me into Lord Huron and I've since bought all 3 albums. The latest one, Vide Noir might be my favorite, but they are all good, especially during a road trip. These two are particular favorites of mine, and are a bit indie-folk and a bit 1950s rock and roll.
