It's insane but I had never really sat down and listened to this band before, and I've enjoyed this record far more than I expected. The uplifting-yet-melancholy feel makes me think of a jangle pop Nanci Griffith almost, which sounds a bit weird, but I don't know how else to articulate it.

Thanks for reminding me about this one. About a year ago I picked up Blind Man’s Zoo on vinyl. Will have to see about getting a copy.

Finally got an actual copy of the new Redd Kross 2LP when they played here over the weekend. I got into them through their first EP and album as a punk kid, but Show World came out when I was in high school and I flipped for it.

New album's fantastic, all the stuff one would like about Redd Kross with some new vibes and melodies. The show was amazing. Felt like a whole set of hit singles. And Dale Crover's opening solo/acoustic set was great - blues drone-string open-tuning kinda stuff with really good melodies.
