I recently came across 'The New Hovering Dog', the 1972 solo album by the English pedal steel player B.J. Cole. Very good indeed and just
not what I was expecting at all!

I've been playing the new War on Drugs live album (Live Drugs) to death over the weekend. Easily one of my favorite releases of the year. Good song selection, very good quality recording, a Zevon cover - not a lot to hate on.

Fiancée discovered this genre (and artist!) at a photoshoot last weekend and we've been grooving on it ever since. Old-school swing and big band music sampled with modern electronic beats. Cool as fuck.

Can anyone tell me what kind of gain/fuzz is on this New Arab Strap song? 0:53 in and again 2:08 in. i'm loving these new tracks and preordered the record.
