MC Lyte - Lyte As A Rock
I teach elementary music to K-5, and every week the 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders get a quick “Musician of the Week” lesson. This week’s focus is MC Lyte, and I’m going back through her records in preparation. Her debut is an incredible record that set the tone for a lot of other big names over the next few years.
Edit to add: her second LP was even stronger.
