I didn't realize they were touring again. Their "farewell" tour back in 2004 was definitely one of the highlights of that year.
They’re doing two nights in Seattle as a one-off in a small venue.

It must be nice to be successful and independent enough as a band to do things like this.

I’d be willing to bet they work in another KEXP session while in town.

Wow, and that's with Walter. How can one dude have so many incredible bands (not to mention his solo stuff)?

It’s gonna be rad.
Loc-dogs, Peace Test are straight rippers too, and one of the few new bands I’m getting off the couch for these days.

The Black Angels were immense last night in Prague. The audience were amazing too!
After they were emphatically cheered back on stage Alex Maas said “We’ve wanted to come here for years!” They then played for at least 6 more songs.

Such a fantastic live band!!

Unwound absolutely killed it last night after Ui, Tsunami :-* , Chisel, and Karate played. The theater was seated but Sara wasn't having it and the place went nuts. They had a bunch of flowers on stage and tossed them out. A rose went through my wife's hoop earring, pulled it out, and they both disappeared under the seats. After the lights came up I found the earring and rose still entangled on the floor.

Rex, Ida, Everyone Asked About You, The Hated, and Codeine last night. Rex was incredible. Hearing Doug Scharin drum is always a great pleasure and I was kind of hoping to hear him with Codeine as well, but their original drummer was along. Ida was pretty much the high point. Those harmonies...

Saw Madison Cunningham at the Barbican last night. Have enjoyed listening to her stuff, but seeing it live has taken my fandom to another level. She was phenomenal. The range of her voice, the guitar sound, the band. All top notch.

Played Life According To Rachel solo on one of those rubber bridge acoustics everyone is after now. Never been at a gig that big where the room has gotten so quiet. Beautiful stuff.

After a busy autumn (a few Courettes gigs, Prisma, Brimheim, the Raveonettes, Tremolo Beer Gut) there's not so much coming up tbh.

Next one will be Prisma again ( 2 local - to me at least sisters) at the end of this month.

Then Black Ends in April.

Probably nothing else till May, when I'll be off to Copenhagen to see my pals Wayne and Simon in the Mission.
And a couple of showcases of Ukrainian psych/metal. And hopefully the Courettes again somewhere.

I saw the Pixies in Cardiff tonight. They were good, expected, but the bit that I didn't expect was that they played Wave of Mutilation twice. I've never seen a band repeat a song in the same gig before.

Pinback in Chicago 4/23. Bikini Kill is playing the night before so I guess we'll see them as well since we're making that awful drive up.
