Recent Offset Obsession!

Post by maestrodmw » Thu Mar 13, 2025 7:45 am

After essentially being mainly into the "standard" Teles, Strats, P Bass and Jazz Basses for the last 40 years, I suddenly started getting into the offsets the last couple of years. And loving it!
Now I already have 2 Jazzmasters, 2 Jaguars, and 3 Bass VIs (really love the Bass VI, Im technically a bass player first, but also play and love guitars).

Not sure how I ignored or dismissed offsets for so long, but I find myself watching endless videos on YouTube now.. experimenting with shims and bridges, etc..
And even trying to hunt down my first "pre-cbs" piece ever (looking at Jaguars). lol

Here's my Bass VIs to start!

just been watching "Get Back" and never realised the Beatles used a Bass VI for some of their stuff
I just know them through Robert Smith using one :-* :-*

yeah, whenever Paul played piano or guitar, John or George played bass, usually a Bass VI!
