Where are you Houston boys located? I'm in the Pearland/Friendswood area.

I just bought, well, bought but not acquired a bass vi from a dude in Montrose. Hope it's you, but if not, cool either way!

No way...I was a Barbarella regular for quite a while until work commitments ended my dancin’ days. HTX is a smaller place than one would think!Nelsclinesucks wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2019 3:46 amThis is so fucking hilarious, love the Texas love! Edit: lovely gold guard by the way

Thanks for the compliment on the ‘59! More pics soon. That’s awesome by the way. Pm me if you go back and I’ll get y’all drinks. You’re so right though! Houston can get small fast.

I bought my CIJ Jazzmaster (my 1st JM) along with a $50 Sovtek green Muff in 1997 or 98 @ Evan's Music.
But the coolest gear was at Rockin' Robin.

Re: Hi from Houston Texas!
WAS. That place is kinda crummy and expensive now. The people follow you around, like right behind you. I used to go there back in the day but it's kind of changed in the last 10+ years. I bought a surfboard there that was very nicely priced, though. Jim, who used to work there, owned LoneStar Guitars and was the best dang luthier in the biz. He closed and went into Rockin' Robins, I suspect now he's retired. That dude was the god dang man.

I absolutely love Rockin Robin. I’ve only been in houston for 7 years but Dave and Clancey are great when it comes luthier/repair work and even brought a completely destroyed strat (in pieces) back to life for me. I also take my JM’s there. Never been followed around either. Respect your opinion though and you’ve seen it change more than me for sure. Favorite place in town!! Hi to a fellow houstonian!N0_Camping4U wrote: ↑Fri Nov 29, 2019 5:56 pmWAS. That place is kinda crummy and expensive now. The people follow you around, like right behind you.
