Incredible collection and a great way to remember your dad. It's interesting on the P-Basses to see the transition from plucking with the thumb (rest at the bottom) vs. the fingers (rest at the top). I have a Harmony bass from 72ish with the rest at the top whereas almost every picture I see of that same model has the rest at the bottom.

ho lee fuck
condolences for your father, i hope he lived a long and happy life and that the collection brought him some enjoyment.
truly an unbelievable collection! thank you for sharing as mentioned, be wary of dealers trying to swoop on these. you'll get much higher sale prices selling to individuals here, if that's the route you choose to go.

I have an early Showman, so seeing your dad's ol Showman that pristine gives me a good feeling. Surfysonic may be interested in that amp or the Princeton...

Wow! What a fantastic collection. Forget finding the long-forgotten Jazzmaster under the bed at grandma's house; you've found the whole guitar store. Though I'm sure there has been pain in losing your father (I know how that goes), you can stay close by restoring the guitars and amps that he loved. What an incredible story! Please keep posting updates on this collection. Thanks for sharing.
