Hello :-)

My name is Kev and this is my first post here.

I'm about to plunge into the world of Off-sets with a Jazzycaster style build, but with a few mods. I have a parts-built strat, a couple of Teles (a Squire and a first gen Mex Shiflett) and a Gretsch duojet. I love them dearly but I've found myself yearning for something different for a while. So...

I've been looking at offsets for the past couple of years, but have never found a retail build that a) ticked all by boxes and b) was within budget. I've liked the look of the Jazzmaster for a long time, but I don't need a trem and I need to have it routed for humbuckers. Or rather, humbucker-sized P90's. I also have a thing for reverse headstocks and a need for a Pelham Blue guitar that isn't a Gibson or an Epiphone. No-one builds that.

I build pedals as a bit of a sideline and have a desktop CNC machine to make PCB's and to drill and engrave enclosures. I've expanded and upgraded it over the past six months so that it's now able to carve guitar bodies. At this moment there is a lump of jointed USA Ash pinned to its spoilboard, waiting for me to hit the "GO" button and carve me the Jazzmaster body of my dreams, but I have lots of questions relating to bridge/strining options before I go any further.

Hoping that Offsetguitars forum members would be able to offer some advice.

Kev
