After almost 20 years

Post by echobaseone » Thu May 24, 2007 9:04 am

I now have a Jazzmaster. My wife bought me the AVRI in Olympic White, and I'm smitten.
Sigh.
I wish I was at home, playing it right now.
I think the first one I saw was hanging off Will Sergeant, nearly 20 years ago, and it was lovely. A preference for maple fretboards kept me away. So many lost years.
Anyway, what an excellent forum. You know you're in the right place when people are talking about Mogwai's effects boards or Tom Verlaine.
I don't think I'll ever go back to the Gear Page and the Eric Clapton vs. Eric Johnson vs. Eric Morecombe debates.
Free at last.
I was born with a plastic spoon in my mouth.

Welcome! Nice to see another kindred soul.

It's coming up nicely, isn't it?  Paisley and McGuinness are pals, the sun shines on Samson & Goliath (I hope they don't tear them down!)...everything is grand.
What part of Co. Down? My aunt works in the post office in Saintfield.

Yeah, this place is a lot better these days :)

I grew up near a little town called Dromore, but I moved to belfast a couple of years ago. I drive through saintfield every now and again when I go sailing on Strangford Lough :)

Congrats. Sounds like your wife could rival mine for Greatest Chick Ever.
