Hello!
I found the site this week - I've been enjoying reading the forums (and seeing the great offset pics).
I've got a '61 Jazzmaster... it's natural (stripped before I got it) w/ a white pickguard. I suspect it was originally sherwood green, but I'm not certain. That's what it looks like in the tremolo cavity, though. Could that have been a 1961 color?
Thanks for having me - I'm looking forward to checking out the forums! And I've already got a tech question...

Re: Hello...
Hi, thanks for dropping in!
Sherwood Green was apparently a 60-65 colour, so yes your JM could have been Sherwood. Check out provide.net's page which will tell you more than you ever need to know about custom colours. There's a chart about 3/4 down with the years each colour was used in.
Oh, and we'd love to see pics if you've got any ..

Re: Hello...
Thanks for the welcome! And thanks Mezcalhead for the link - it's bookmarked (I eventually want to refin the JM, finances willing).
And I noticed the Stereolab avatar. Tim Gane's playing is a big reason I got the JM (he and Kevin Shields are faves of mine).
I'll post pics soon!

Re: Hello...
I thought Gane more often played a Jag .. ? although I know there are often JMs lurking around Stereolab too.
I think when I saw them last time they were here, there were only $trats and Ricks on stage.
