Hola

Post by blacktiger » Sun Nov 12, 2006 7:35 pm

Been kicking around on the FDP for a few years, but I think that I like the tone (no pun intended) around here a little better (the offset forum over there is actually pretty good for the most part, but I'm losing interest in the rest of the board).  I've been an offset addict for about 15 years; mostly Jazzmasters, but there's been a Jag or two in there as well.  First: Olympic White (refin) '67 Jazzmaster, current: LPB (refin) '62 slab board Jazzmaster.

Thanks for the welcome.  Yeah, I noticed that most of the FDP offset forum seemed to be posting here.  The offset forum was always cool; people generally treated others with respect, but the FDP itself seems to be fast becoming a for-profit venture  :(.

I knew there were still one or two stragglers left to trail in. Nice to see you!

blacktiger - I sent you an email invite about a month or so ago (to your FDP-listed email). Did you get it, or find us on your own?

Either way, I'm glad you came!

;D

I think that someone linked it, so I had already found it, I just hadn't gotten atound to registering yet.  I'm very grateful to whoever put this site together, since the offset forum was the only thing keeping me at the FDP.

Hear hear. I rarely, if ever, go there anymore. Not even to the offset forum there, to be honest. I got a lot of useful info on the FDP, but it's culture isn't particularly friendly, oftimes.

So it's good to find this place!

That's an understatement - depending on the area...

Welcome!
