I’m moving house soon and want to protect my Jazzmaster (Standard, modified) a little. What cases or gig bags do you recommend?

Mono M80 is really high quality (way more so than the gator ones etc). Seems like a lot for soft luggage, but worth it, I think.

+3 for Mono.

I have the M80 Dual which fits a pair of offsets comfortably and can be worn like a backpack.

Mono M80 or Gator Pro-Go for gig bags
Fender or SKB for cases.

My G&L Doheny came with a G&G Case.

It's exactly the same case as this G&G case Fender resells:

https://shop.fender.com/en-US/accessori ... 12406.html

The G&L case just has the gaudy Fender logo deleted and has a much more discrete G&L plaque on it near the handle, and has a black interior instead of red.

The gotcha with these cases is the JM body style is just enough bigger than a Strat or a Tele that the case doesn't fit across some car trunks without turning it diagonally, whereas a Strat or Tele in a similar case will fit without issue.

These cases have a lot of wood in them.. once the case is at the correct humidity level they offer a lot of buffer against humidity changes.. my Doheny stays unbelievably stable in it.

The fender deluxe molded case is really nice, too. Light, strong, well thought out. The handle is actually comfortable.

The molded cases are great too.. I had one for my Tele.

The plastic molded ones are quite heavier than the wooden ones, but seem more protective & bombproof.

Not a big deal but the wooden based ones do seem like the maintain humidity better.

That Fender one is TSA approved too.. I never flew with mine but I would have not worried at all about a solid body guitar even checked in it.
