How do you save a picture of your creation?

Post by pullover » Wed Oct 04, 2006 7:19 am

I know you've probably told us all how to do this before, but some of us have short term memory loss due to.... uh.... long term memory getting in the way.

Why should we buy postage stamps? We can make our own.

The easiest way I have found is to simply do a screen capture of the screen (by clicking "print screen" while the window that you want to capture is active) and then open up your choice of graphics editing programs, and paste it there. Crop the excess and you've got it.

For OSX users, use the Grab application or press command - shift - 3 and it will save an image to your desktop.  You'll then have to crop it in Preview or some other image editing application.

Even better- command-shift-4-spacebar and then select the dressing room window and click.  It'll capture just that window.

Here's the shorthand version, if you're handy with Windows:

1. Get the image you want in the dressing room
2. Press ALT-SHIFT-PRTSCR  (Print Screen).
3. Start Paint
4. Choose Paste (or CTRL-V)
5. In Paint, Crop image and save in desired file format.

Hope this helps.

Yeah...none of that worked for me. I have the Dressing Room saved on my computer, does that matter?
