So I got to thinking... Why is there a single-layer white 'guard in the Dressing Room? Creator's choice? Are there vintage Jazzmaster's with single-layer white 'guards? They just look cool? Popular demand?
And for that matter, why does the single-layer white 'guard have nine holes instead of the regular thirteen? Hmmm?

AFAIK there were no vintage jazzmasters with single ply white or black pickguards, but someone requested these options a while back, and i guess i figured that since single ply pickguards were a thing of the 50s, they should have the 50s screw configuration...

vintage or not, I like it a lot on custom colors, especialli on CAR and, of course, Sherwood Green...they look so fresh!!

Architecture students are like virgins with an itch they cannot scratch, never build a building 'till are fifty, what kind of life is that?

i'd love to have a single ply white guard made for my new offset project this summer. the scary part is cutting the square holes.
