I am very tempted to buy a old 488 like i had but i figured its time to upgrade into digital workstations. I dont have the fanciest computer in the world so im looking more at a standalone style unit like the old tascam was.
I just need to make quality demo's so i can remember things. Since i dont get to play like i used too itll be weeks before i pick it up again. Then i would have forgot all the work i had done.
I want basically a newer version of the 488. simple to use some nice features with good mixing ability's.

Cheap analog CAN work and be amazing. Have you heard Creek Drank the Cradle? That album makes the recording engineery part of me to twitch; so low-fi yet amazing
