Recorder as USB mic / interface?

Post by cestlamort » Fri Apr 04, 2025 10:47 am

Any recommendations for a little recorder that also functions as a USB mic or even interface?

We've been using an old Tascam dr-07 mk2 as a field recorder, and I'd always assumed we could use it as a USB mic, too, but that's not the case.

I believe some mics (Zoom?) also allow you to plug in a guitar, too.

Zoom H5.

Great mic for room recordings, 2 inputs and can function as a USB interface.
