It is more complicated but you can also use the presets and you´re set. Still, it won't be as straightforward as EZdrummer.
Have you looked into XLN Audio´s Addictive drums 2? They´re cheap and might be what you need.

So, I gave in and bought this on sale. I was a little dismayed that it only comes with two drum styles/packs. I guess that's ok,,,I will be getting some other expansion packs. This product has a ton of rock based drum, but only 1 hip hop, 1 electronic, and 1 dream pop expansion. The hip hop sounds really good, but everyone says the Nashville pack is very good....
I don't need the double bass stuff....or do I. Anyway...love the work flow..
