I dunno who uses TDL's plugs, but...

The VladG Molot compressor plugin has been around forever. And it's a monster, with so many controls that it can be overwhelming. But it's also outstanding. That VladG fellow's been working with Tokyo Dawn for a while and really recently he came out with 2 new versions of Molot. One free, simplified version called Molotok, and a paid version that's a further refinement of his old Molot plug, including the two modes it has. One loosely meant to sound like an old Neve compressor, and the other mode getting a lot of comparison to a fairchild by a lot of people, though it's not really modelled on it.

So anyone looking into a really nice, super versatile, and very colored sounding compressor should really look into it. And if you haven't gotten their SlickEQ, get that too because again, outstanding quality in both free and paid tiers.

Slick EQ is great, I haven't tried much else from them but I'll have to try this at some point.

I do use them!
Because free.
Molot was one i could never get to work perhaps. Absolutely love slick EQ it seems better than paid ones. No6, kotelnikov, nova are easier to use.

What kind of instruments would reccomend it for? Drums?

Yeah, I like it on drums and vocals in sigma mode.
