Just got this...fills in the drum niche I needed for synthwave, chillwave, vapor wave music....very tweak-able and can get those chillwave drums

There are some close sounds in a few EZ drummer packs, but they never sounds right...this does. Super cheap at 49 bucks. Love the multi output option and the mixer controls in the unit....will be using this a lot.

Thanks for posting this. Please share your experiences as you get it unpacked and working.

I have tried 2 electronic drum machines, the Alesis SR-18 and the Berhinger RD-6... and software, EZ drummer and they seem either too tone limited (the RD-6) to too complex to program (the others)... SO I keep on looking for something to help in my home recording experiments.

I was reading about this the other day. Been hankering after an old Korg Mini-Pops lately, then found out there's a free VST version. Wouldn't be surprised if there's a free CR-78 out there somewhere as well, but $49 isn't too bad.

There is a Alesis SR-18 VST????

EZ drummer is fantastic ....can’t rate that highly enough ....what kind of music are you doing?

In my post I tried to differentiate the machines from the software... so no Alesis SR-18 VST.

What kind of music? Answer: Nothing I would want anybody, apart from myself to hear. It has been awhile, but as I recall the EZ drummer just seemed too complex. Maybe I should take another look.

You should try the MT Drummer Power Kit.....it's free with a minimum donation of 9 bucks...here is the link...

https://www.powerdrumkit.com/

My take on it....it's like an easier to use version of EZ Drummer....it sounds really good too.

Been messing with it.....not really for rock music. Chillwave, hip hop, synthwave....trying to figure out the "fills" pattern....it sounds really good...thick sounding. I has some effects such as compressor, reverb, chorus, you turn on and off...so cool. The presets are all great...in the New Wave folder a lot of the presets are named after Cure songs...but not sure if they sound like Cure 1980-1983?? Some Joy Division presets, and Blondie.
