I think it sounds good "sound" wise. I'm not sure if you're going for it but the clean part sounds like your out of tune?
One more guitar, then I'll practice!

I like it, but as betty just said you're definitely out of tune. Sound quality is excellent, though i actually find guitar rig to be far superior to most hardware amp simulators. And i'd like to see a little more reverb on the distorted parts, think short time and large room size, but overall it's a nice little tune.

Re: squier tele custom demo recording
I was trying to find a nice, "diplomatic" way of saying it... With things like that I'm always second-guessing myself and I think "Is it MY ear that's off?"
Maybe my sense of timing is off, too. I don't think your out of step too much. Everything else sounds good.

Re: squier tele custom demo recording
thanks. i think the chorus, or the loud part doesnt sound right compared to professional recordings. but it was a good way to practice and the verse-part sounds good to me.
thanks for your critics

Why should we buy postage stamps? We can make our own.

Re: squier tele custom demo recording
It's not just for podcasts. It adjusts the volume to be more level throughout the project. Its basically a limiter/normalizer. Try running the song you posted through it and see if it sounds better.Killamangiro* wrote:its supposed to work with podcasts, right?

What you do is you mix the song down, then drag the .wav file into the levelator and it will level it, and then put the file back in the original folder keeping your original file intact, just in case you don't like it. The new file will be saved as the original file name.output
Basically if you mixed something down and it's not very loud it will bring it up, and the parts that are too loud it will smooth out. It does it in sections so it won't lose the overall feel of what your going for. I had some stuff mixed down that wasn't very loud and now they are just as loud as professionally produced music.
One thing that I haven't tried, that this might be more useful for, is to run each individual track through the levelator before loading it into Reaper or Audacity for mix down.

It looks like the site goes up and down, it was up this morning, and I just went to it and it was down. So maybe try again later.Sonic Youthz wrote: I'm afraid the link isn't working for me. It just says "Object Not Found!".

Re: squier tele custom demo recording
...from the levelator website. It's not a compressor, normalizer or limiter although it contains all three
so it's not a compressor, normalizer or limiter even though it compresses, normalises and limits? It sounds like one to me.
It seems like an alright tool to fix up your podcasts or whatever, but I'm sure it'll compress the life out of any recorded music.
