Alesis generally makes good stuff, but there's no reason to buy a mixer for just one mic, and i doubt that a USB interface can record eight channels at once anyhow. This seems like a good deal, with the added benefits of firewire: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/ ... sku=241483

It looks kind of cheap, but Presonus have a solid reputation for quality.

That's not to say that there's anything wrong with the Alesis, it just seems bulky and has more inputs and knobs than you'll need in everyday home recording.

An XLR cable. I always forget to get cables when i buy a new piece of gear. Pop filter if you plan to sing. Mic stand.

Just out of curiosity, what software do you use?

Sounds nice. Have you tried moving the amp and mic further away from you? I'm definitely hearing some unamplified guitar in the background.
