Beautiful!

Do you by any chance have some JMs of the same year/color combo floating around?  I for one wouldn't mind a black w/ white guard B&B offset photo collection.

did they not come with tort pickguards as a standard feature or was that just an invention by fender usa for the AVRI line?

I actually had one in that combo...it was a refin though...oddly enough I can't find many (make that any!) pictures of it :(

here's one side by side with my old '64...

That's possibly my favorite Jaguar color combo.  :? :? :?

I'm torn between tort and white, though.
Damn kids, get off my lawn!

What happened to the gold '64? Beautiful guitar. Did it not play well?

Mezcalhead now owns it. :)

it played and sounded amazing, but I had money problems and couldn't hold onto it...it's was between the '64 and the '61 I have now

the '61 won because it has the beefier '61-style neck...had the necks been the same, it would of been pretty impossible to decide which one was best.

by that point I had already sold the black one to fund the '61

Sorry to hear that. At least you got to hold onto one of them
I played one almost identical to this recently. It was a '59 with a gold guard, the same colour as the one in your picture
It had a really nice neck, but the fretboard had divots from either many years of playing, or a botched
DIY scalloping job. I'm hoping it was the former! Enjoying these threads as well.

super sweet
no tort needed
I'm glad there are a lot of guitar players pursuing technique as diligently as they possibly can, it leaves this whole other area open to people like me.

I have to say, I think I like the Jag in black more than the JM.
