fun. what tunings you using?

i really wanted a lapsteel so i went ahead and built one. a simple 22.5 scale 6 string. next one i try will be a long scale baritone 8 string.

it cost me about 70 bucks with kluson style tuners and a dearmond 2000 pickup. it's a copy of that same art deco-y shape everyone and their mother has done, but with some fun differences. i should post photos...

Yes, you should.

I've been all about the steel lately. I have an ultra-cheap doubleneck that I've fixed up with better pickups, but I'm thinking of getting a better one made. I'm looking at designs, trying to figure out what I want.

Tunings on mine: near neck is C6 (lo C E G A C E hi) and the far neck is open A (lo E A E A C# E hi). Probably going to make my public steel-playing debut soon with a friend's band.
