Just got my wife a dundun for our 9th anniversary. We’ve been intrigued by these for a while. I finally bit the bullet and got her one to use during instrumentals when she isn’t singing. Could have gotten a floor Tom, but this is so much cooler. It’s a beautiful instrument and one head is tuned brighter than the other. Sounds like thunder.

Do any of you have, or enjoy dunduns?

I've always been a fan of a good DunDun.

Besides the beastly boom boom you got there, it's awesome that this is an acceptable gift for your wife. My wife's cool enough, but something like this would be wasted on her.

She has been wanting one for a few years. I seen a percussionist using one in a folk/gypsy band once and it was the most moving experience the way he interacted with them. My wife became privy to them after one of our first trips to Asheville and watching the drum circle. Just a lot of energy with these drums. And that’s how they’re supposed to be played. With a ton of energy. Should be fun
