I inherited a 60's Hohner 'Chromonica' from my Grandad today, 10 holes and the lever to make the notes sharp.
Its a great little instrument, and my first wind instrument (aside a recorder I owned when I was verrry young)
Anyway, the Harmonica is in the key of C, however holes 4,5, 8 and 9 (and 1 obviously) are all C notes. I imagine this should not be the case? Could someone tell me what the notes 1 - 10 should be, and any other information I may require?

Thanks mate! I think the reeds are bent or unable to vibrate due to dirt, so I'm having it fixed up and hopefully I'll be learning in no time!

Re: Harmonica's
That's for a diatonic harp; chromatic ones are different, and subsequently harder to play. I've never heard of a 10-hole chromatic though (usually come in 12 hole format); perhaps you've got the range of a diatonic with the lever from a chromatic?tonyw wrote: Harp notes in C
