i ended up getting that sho-bud

holy crap!

this is going to take quite a while. i have a whole new respect for anyone who can play pedal steel competently, let alone well. pedal steel makes lap steel seem like the easiest thing you've ever done and makes guitar 2nd only to breathing.

at any rate here are a couple quick cellphone snap shots...

i'm taking it real slow. just getting accustom to the extra strings and the tuning will take a while for me. i'm not even getting into the knee levers yet.

I'm a bit jealous, actually!
Someone knows where I can find the nearest woodchipper to throw my pieces of junk into?

I've thought of trying to play pedal steel myself but heard that it was super hard to play. Guess I better get competant on the guitar 1st. That thing looks awesome. I'd be interested to hear if you start progressing in your skills more easily as you go along.

:(

so i've been thinking and i'm considering selling or trading my pedal steel. realistically i really don't have the free time to really learn the instrument (any new instrument really) and after january i'll have even less free time. i'm expecting my first born. i feel like a schmuck for buying it now. :-[

:( dude that's a total bummer. I am looking for a lapsteel myself but i wouldn't have the time to learn one of these either.
I used to be cool, now I just complain about prices.
