Andromeda Space Rockers
Just ordered the entire Andromeda Space Rockers Series from Eric Archer
And it's not just Mk1, 2 and 4. no... It's also Mk-3 and wooster's Midi-IR
Can't wait for it to arrive in Denmark!
Does anyone else than me have such crazy option as electronic analog drums?

No, but I was thinking of building one of those Coron DS7 or DS8 clones. What sucks about it is that you have to build 8 or so for a full drum machine.

Im pretty interested in hearing soundclips, i've been enjoying abletons slice to midi function the last month, i think using sliced beats adds an element of unpredictability since there often are some additional background noise on the sample. Maybe i should lay off venetian snares for a while?

Re: Andromeda Space Rockers
Well i can probably upload some when i get them... and get them assembled
But I've been using Ableton for a couple years now... and the whole idea of getting these is having something analog and not a sample. I've used a lot of samples, effects and soft synth, but never got anywhere near the sound and feel of analog drums.
...I thinking that I've always wanted unlimited 'powers' (soft-synth, samples, effects and so on) But it's when I have the least I make the best music.
These machines is an attempt to limit myself...

Sounds like a plan. Stripping back to the basics is always a great way to rediscover yourself musically - i.e. getting the best out of what you have instead of fiddling with an endless array of knobs.duckpow wrote:...I thinking that I've always wanted unlimited 'powers' (soft-synth, samples, effects and so on) But it's when I have the least I make the best music.

Also a great way to lock on to a particular sound and make it "yours".
Anyway, the space rockers look really cool! Keep us posted!

Re: Andromeda Space Rockers
did you only get eric archers models or did you also get the 4ms autonomous bassline generator?

apparently bleep labs is also building a synth for this IR sync line too.

No need for the bassline generator
It's cool...but not needed.

Re: Andromeda Space Rockers
Nope. It hasn't arrived yet.
It's a little something extra The one to the right is a mini space rocker. Small print that says baounm when the button is pushed
And the one to the right is an extra set of cap's for the mk-IV, for extra long bass drums
Can't wait to put them together!

So basically a non-pedal version of the EHX Spacedrum? Awesome!duckpow wrote:Small print that says baounm when the button is pushed
