Site crashed - had to restore from a backup

Post by Jay » Mon Oct 19, 2020 11:47 am

Sincere apologies to anyone that registered in the last few days or posted in the last few days.

I realize this is a huge hassle for some of you, especially if you had FS/FT deals going but there's was nothing else I could figure out and I simply don't have time to keep the site down for days working on it. :squint:

We're now doing automatic redirection from http to https and have a cert signed by an actual CA.

edit: No more self-signed cert.

Thanks for sorting this out guys, definitely not what you want on a Monday! :squint:

My browser gave me the whole "page not secure may be about to steal your password" story. But I logged in a-ok.

I lost a long posting I had just done in the amp section, but found it in google cache. So all is good.

Thanks to Jay/Tom for keeping the site going with some extra strong gaffer tape.
relaxing alternative to doing actual work ...

Sometimes it feels more like scotch tape and spit.
