Yeah there's def a lot of variation in how braz looks. fwiw, it looks real to me. i was stunned to hear from a luthier that my '67 guild starfire's fretboard was BR, it looked a lot lighter than the early Fender fretboards I have and have come across. She then told me she can usually tell it's BR by how it smells.
