I strangely keep coming back to look at her again.

Well, you certainly don't see that everyday! Strangely attractive somehow.

Almost a decade later & nobody still has the slightest clue as to what kind of neck / headstock this is.
Definitely an early 60s CAR Jazzmaster by the remaining paint chips in the trem cavity.
Is there any way to narrow down thee exact age / era?
I'd love to determine the exact timeline.
I still have the guitar. It's amazing and sounds better than any of my vintage pieces. Haven't gotten around to replacing the neck. Definitely won't go with vintage as the costs are even more bonkers when I was looking at necks yeeeears ago. Would one of those modern Fender 22 fret Jazzmaster necks work on this guitar with the adequate shims? Or would it be a safer bet for a Warmoth neck?

More pics would be a start! Those old ones are either missing, or watermarked and murky.

So cool.
That headstock reminds me of an Ibanez Musician, however there are some differences. Can you post some better pictures? Deffo one of the coolest JMs on the internet
