I always wonder why nobody ever mentions the Fender Harvard amplifier. Were they no good???

I’ve heard of people loving Harvards, presumably they were good circuits. But if I remember correctly, they occupied the space between Princetons and Deluxes, and Fender didn’t see a reason to keep making them when those other amps covered most of the bases.

I think they were popular with R&B and soul session players.

When I built a 5F2a Princeton, I made it a Harvard. I forget the exact differences, but I do recall it's the same basic circuit. It's more of a Champ with a simple tone control than anything.
