What trem arm will work on this without mortgaging my life to get?

Any USA made modern one will work, so from an AVRI or presumably also the newer American Original ones

Watch out for the cheaper one called ‘62 vintage, which looks to be American made, but does not fit a 1965 Jaguar (guess it is made to fit the Japanese reissue). I just made this mistake...

I use an American Original trem arm in my 1962 Jaguar as the vintage is very loose.

Got my new trem arm last evening, a bit confused here as this jaguar is new to me. Does this secure into the guitar? Or does the arm just stay loose to fall out.

Also is there a plastic tip available?

You need to push it down with a firm push and it should lock into place a little bit better. I just bought the American vintage trem arm for my '65, and it was still loose even when fully pushed down. Can be solved temporarily with a piece of thin tape or more permanently through some light violence to the part of the trem arm that goes into the collet (there are more careful descriptions on how to do this elsewhere on the Internet).

I bought a traditional reissue one from Amazon that works well, but its the wrong shape. Look for the long, bent arm one if you can!
