how do you deal with early poly finishes? I tried to polish lightly my '72 JM with a damp cloth and it turned WHITE for a second :fp: no long term damage done, but that finish is really unstable. Been wiping it with dry cloth before putting it in its case ever since.

Some fresh GHS 11's once a year, a bit of dunlop fingerboard cleaner if necessary, or just the lemon oil to keep the whole rosewood dark and healthy :-*

Also, the musicnomad "one" polish/cleaner is also very good at pretty much everything. If you run into some gunk or just small finish rashes, this will take care of it. A little smelly tho, but great results when properly applied :freako:
