I truly hope this gets to stay as-is and isn't the victim of a "restoration." It's such a perfect guitar.

Same, even though I saw it when it was listed. Still didn’t do me any good, and all the good stuff is dried upMechanical Birds wrote: ↑Fri Mar 19, 2021 4:45 amOh my gosh I need to spend more time on ebay that is insane

I’d like to think I wouldn’t have hesitated had I seen the Classic Player detail, the nails, the price, etc. but in reality I’m 99.9% I’d be in the same boat as you right now lolrbrcbr wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 10:20 amSame, even though I saw it when it was listed. True x a million with good stuff drying up. It’s been mentioned in other threads recently, but right now compared to even like 5 years ago is night and day in terms of parts or parts guitars or good deals in general really. My consumed guitar economics/history says I need to invest in at least one old Jazzmaster or Jaguar because they probably won’t ever go back down and with each day they become more expensive. But again, 5 years from now I’ll be sitting thinking the same thing probably with nothing to show for it.
Really wish that market crash would hurry up and flood the market or whatever it is everyone says is gonna happen

Re: Alright, who got it?
Well I hadn't hesitated so much as "let me see how the auction plays out", checking it everyday to see if the bids had gone up at all. I had put a low offer on it but it was automatically declined when someone put the first bid on it (eBay feature?) - but that was wishful thinking thinking someone else wouldn't swoop in on it while the auction is happening. But yeah, I'm on the same page as you. Really wish I'd been able to hang onto my vintage Jag/could get my hands on something else vintage that isn't exorbitantly overpriced. Even the reissues are getting to stupid prices or impossible to find now. it's wild.Mechanical Birds wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 10:33 pmI’d like to think I wouldn’t have hesitated had I seen the Classic Player detail, the nails, the price, etc. but in reality I’m 99.9% I’d be in the same boat as you right now lolrbrcbr wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 10:20 amSame, even though I saw it when it was listed. Re: Alright, who got it?
Seriously! I sold my Jaguar over my Thin Skin justifying it as ‘ok there are probably a million or so Jaguars that look like this and I had an impossible time selling it so in 5 years I can probably just get another one and I can’t say that about this Wildwood thing.”
Stupidest thing I ever did, it seems, because morherfuckers are pricing those things like they have brain damage and have never been outside before. It makes me sad all day.
