Alright, who got it?
Had my eye (and bid) on this thing, listed on eBay as a "classic player jazzmaster" with only the first photo on the listing. Had the seller send me the other photos when I inquired about it. Seller ended the auction early this morning due to an offer. Sounds like it went for $2k. I should have sent off my offer of $2k when it first listed a couple days back but got overzealous and hoped I'd somehow be able to nab it for under $2k in the auction. I suppose I didn't need to spend that money anyway, but i digress...
Gonna be real pissed if I see this thing on reverb for $5k in a week.

Whoa! I love that. I'd want the pickups the other way around but looks like a nice deal for someone. Sorry it didn't pan out, but nice job seeing it for what it is. I hope someone here picked it up.

Re: Alright, who got it?
To be completely honest, this is only reason I was convinced I might be able to get it cheaper than usual.
Still salty about this, I should probably stay off the internet for the next couple weeks just in case it pops up for sale again and I have to drive over to NJ and fight g*bsondependable
That has evaded me this far! I know they're CBS era F knobs, but I can't find anything exactly like that. Possibly swapped off an amp or an 80's strat or something like that sometime down the line.

I think they are from the early 80s brass boat anchor also known as "The Strat"
Looks pretty cool on this one though, like the vibe of this guitar.

Minus the original finish and D&B instead of B&B, yes, it was pretty similar before I refinished and restored it. I love it like the first day and play it all the time.
I'm a bit upset I missed on this listing, I'd likely would have bid pretty hard on it. I just hope someone got a great deal and will cherish and love that guitar instead of flipping it or parting it.
