Fender molded case for vintage instruments

Post by whitewatersky » Mon Jun 28, 2021 9:30 pm

has anyone used these cases for their nitro finished guitars ?

I got one with my American Professional JM.
I'm now playing my Jaguar so much but I'm conscious of bashing the OHSC around every day.
As a result I've taken to storing the Jag in the new case....

Spec of interior:
Custom-fit EPS protective foam interior nest; gray high-quality polyester plush interior; extended reach protective neck cradle

It simply is such a good case, but I wonder if anyone has had issues with modern materials on old paint - the stand thread got me thinking in this vein...
Probably overthinking this, but ya never know...

There is nothing in a case interior that can mess with a paint finish.

The interaction you see with certain stands and other plastics is the result of petroleum elements in products having a chemical reaction with the finish. These elements don’t exist in fabrics, for this case or any others. But they are commonly found in plastic, faux-rubber and neoprene products.
