i was cleaning up my hard drive this morning and found a PDF of the Fender 1959 catalog. no idea where i got it ... maybe here all eight pages follow for the collective edification. if anyone wants the PDF, PM me your email and i'll send it along. if someone invents a time machine, let me know that too

Re: Fender 1959 catalog
The Jazzmaster pictured appears to have a dark guard, surely tortoiseshell, with 9 mounting screws!!
Has this been discussed before? Could the guard even be black?
I always thought it went 9-hole anodised > 11-hole tortoiseshell > 13-hole tortoiseshell during the pre-CBS years.

You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.
