Yeah, the Bass VI got Jag pickups, mute and strangle switch in 1963.
But I agree with MattK, I think the Jag and Bass VI are sort of sister models.

I also agree!
If only this one wasn't going back five seconds after delivery. Squier's clearcoat mixing is a shitshow. The headstock is half-silver half-yellow.

I can attest that the 62 Bass VI pickups are sonically quite different than the ones for the Jaguars. Generally a wider EQ spectrum with more bass and bite. I have a 62 and in the past had a 63 VI. The Jag pups on the 63 were more glassy, thin and clean.
