Me too!

A 1960 Duo was my very first vintage Fender, bought in a pawn shop in 1983. I like them so much. The hardtail Jag I was working on was sort of a compilation of a Duo and a Jag... a nice hybrid IMO.

I like it a lot, the finish is a bit weird but I guess it's got character!

I've got a '58 Musicmaster that is waiting for a refin (it's stripped now) - I'm trying to find the best, closest LOCALLY-AVAILABLE (ie no reranch, unfortunately) color to match Desert Sand and it'll all come together - anodized pickguard and all. They're funky little guitars.

I've seen Fender Japan Mustangs with a stock bridge humbucker, more or less similar to the "Hot Rod" above.  I think they may be a FSR sort of thing for one of the larger retailers.

Okay, so maybe a little different than I had thought.

Yep, in the picture, it's the Cobainized Mustang.  They're basically CIJ/MIJ Fender Mustangs with a Humbucker put into the bridge position by some customizing firm in Japan.  There's also an HH "Cobainized" Jaguar model too.  It probably would sound nothing like the first Gen Duo above though, the scales are different (24 vs. 22.75), the neck pickup is a little lower down on the Duo, and the Mustang has a trem.

Ah yeah, I didn't think about the 22.75" scale.  Good call!

Actually the short scale models were 22.5", not 22.75". They are often referred to as "3/4 scale", however.

Right, the 3/4 scale ones.  I knew that - no, really, I did...  ;)

The '69 Mustang I used to have had a humbucker in the bridge position. I had planned on replacing it with a stock Mustang pickup. I had a spare original pickguard with no extra holes and everything, but I ended up selling it instead.
