yeah but what does your guide dog think ?
wow, I am sure there are state legislation that bans the use of those different PUPs on the same guitar body...
relaxing alternative to doing actual work ...

No, although it doesn't look too good either

And a different colour for each knob!
Although if it works, I'd certainly be happy to have it until I could get a real Bass VI or a proper replica...

That's a Kapa neck!
They were USA made (Maryland) in the 60s, one of the last independents. They made some cool stuff, including some offset-types. They are often mistaken to be imports because they are slightly whacky Fenderesque creations.
I wonder what happened to the rest of it...

On a (somewhat) related note, here is a KAPA Continental XII. Notice the same logo on the headstock:

I was intrigued, so I did a search for some Kapas an dlook what I found:
from
http://www.diamondstrings.com/inventor.htm
"a hybrid, we took an old Kapa continental bass neck and converted it to hold sixstrings, the 30" scale was perfect for a six string bass. it is an octave lower so you just play it like a guitar [ or bass] . the body is a new gold mettalic[ glitter] strat style . the strat style pickups are generic but they sound very strong. bridge humbucker is from a vintage Yamaha and the tailpiece is a massive stop tail style for a six string"
