The absolute fucking gall to sit there and pitch the ugly refinish and horrible, horrible tailpiece mod as 'upgrades', then rounded off with that price.
Reverb is a cesspit

Would I be really happy to own this - yes.
For that price - not if it was the last guitar on earth.

I don't find the JM-crime nearly as offensive as the pitch on G-base.

yeah. that kinda bothered me a lot. i can't tell if he's delusional or the earthy manifestation of jack black's character in school of rock.

It's kind of like the guitar version of Poe's law - it's impossible to tell good satire from honesty on the internet unless it's explicitly labeled.
Some of these dudes are taking the piss. The others are just delusional. Which is which? Who knows.

From a Rickenbacker write-up on Reverb:
"That said – and last politic equivocation – I swear, why would anyone copy such an obscure model?
I want to sell this as a lot because this guitar deserves to be assembled by someone up to the task. If there is no interest after a month or two, I may part it out; but until then I’d appreciate your consideration in recognizing that I will not sell the project piecemeal at this juncture, so please don’t ask."
Maybe the seller writes 19th century lawyer fan-fiction or something?

yeah. i keep an eye on his ebay store because he's often got cool stuff but his prices are mental. £70 for a single starcaster knob? tha fuck?
honestly, if i lived anywhere near him, i'd try getting in his good books and getting him to try making deals
