10 years later I regret doing this to a AVRI.

"A piece of 60s Fender history modded in the late 70s, 1 previous owner before myself."

Translation: I bought this off some old timer, told them it was a POS worth about $50 for the parts that haven't been ruined or chucked, now I'm sticking it on reverb for more than the price of a clean one because I am totally lacking any shame

That dude literally bought that 2 days ago for maximum $300. I saw the original classified listing.

Go capitalism!! :w00t:

Seems okay. How much was actually irrevocably changed? Some screw holes for pick guard, plunger for mute? anything else?

with all the crap removed after he got it :

An old Regal Le Domino acoustic guitar, probably from the 20s, 'modified' for use as a prop in the movie Alita : Battle Angel

Routed at home for the new pickups. All the original hardware, pickguard and electronics were sold off. I drilled the mute to fit the Mastery just for aesthetics, it was non operational.

whoops. I somehow thought this was a JM/Jag mashup. Routing for pickups isn't a big deal, when compared to the really egregious stuff we've witnessed here.

I should have done it to a less desirable guitar.

Just been looking on eBay. What on earth is this!

Image
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1966-FENDER- ... SwBG1cxh5G
966 Fender Mustang - made & fired up in the USA:

* alder body - VERY HOT REAL RELIC

* maple neck with CHARCOAL FINGERBOARD - missing some frets & all dots

* all chrome parts are very tarnished

* tuner buttons in melted condition

* broken E string ( can be replaced easily )

* an interesting conversation piece for long winter nights......

* also a great X-mas present....
I think the broken E is the least of its problems!
