In rare instances, painting a bolt-on neck a solid color is the right move.

Has this been posted before?

Seller claims it belonged to a guitarist in Dutch Indo-Rock band The Black Arrows.
I wonder how it was wired.

That German seller must feature in this thread more than anyone else. He's got an appalling reputation and seems to specialise in selling things that are almost fit for the bin, at buy it now prices significantly more than the thing would be in mint condition. A total internet time burglar, cos every time you see his listings you can't stop but sit there with your mouth agape! ;D

As for that er...1973 mustang neck that'd be what, 200 dollars in decent shape?, has the mutilator cut into the area of the first fret? Looks very iffy

But he runs this ebay shop for years and years. I can't remember ebay without the famous music-outlet-shop. Everytime you see overpriced junk you can be sure it's this guy again. People seem to buy the shit though... :fp:

* old mahogany = TONE
Without pickups, bridge and strings, there's only one "tone" from that guitar: clonk.

Back in the old days, something like that would've been a "Look what i've found in the trash! Maybe I can make it work again!"-project. Now it's sold as a vintage guitar.

Now that you can search sold listings on reverb, gems like this fella can be found. Sold 4 years ago for $850.

"Cut to fit in Baldwin case."

That's the best reason (Why?) and also the worst thing in this thread.

There’s a reverb seller called “The Bonfires Vintage” that posts everything they have for like, significantly more than the most expensive example of said thing. Every once in a while they’ll get a Sunn head and strip off the badge and knobs and try to sell the knobs for like $35 each and the badge for $75 or something insane and then post the amp for like, $1,500 or something. Just the most offensive shit, like the easier it became to find disirable stuff like this the more ridiculous assholes got with pricing, when you’d think it would drive things down, right? If I wanted a Jazzmaster in like 1996 yeah I could probably get one for less than a grand, but that also meant having to find one first which at the time meant guitar magazine ads from shops all over the country and being a hawk at pawn shops wherever you went or whatever. Now I can pretty much find any part/complete guitar from mostly any year of production in about 10 seconds. Either I’m a horrible idiot in economics or this is all super fucking dumb and wrong.

Would again like to just say how much I really fucking hate that reverb shop too. Whoever runs it is a horrible person.
